One of the reasons why I like not having to drive. Though the trains were a mess this morning... but not the direction I was going.

I went to a three Maiden concerts (when the albums actually came out..). I never saw Ozzy, wasn't really that interested.

I've never seen Iron Maiden, but I went to Ozzfest on 3 June 1997.

I went to some 'fest' before they became 'fests' when I was 20 or something. I saw a whole bunch of groups. Metallica and Aerosmith being two that I remember. I think the Black Crows as well.

I also saw Guns & Roses as an opener for Iron Maiden. I wasn't overly impressed.

That reminds me of the temps in Toronto when I was there! I so don't miss that...

This morning it was a big 0C so a bit chilly. Nice blue sky though.

I saw Goo Goo Dolls when they were a punk band from Buffalo, NY on the Metal Blade label. They played at a long gone club called Babylon-a-Go-Go. Johnny Reznik bummed a cigarette from me after the show.

In those days we used to call them 'sell outs' but today, most people would see it as a smart business decision. They realised they would never make enough money being a punk band so changed their musical genre to more commercial.

Funny how we thought of things back then. Thing is, I am quite disappointed by most music these days. There are some new groups here and there that buck the commercialisation trend, not many though. That's the reason why I was never into pop music when I was a teen. I just couldn't get behind the same sounding music all the time. I've learned to relax that attitude some but I still find 'new' pop music rather boring. It's the reason why I have difficulty with country and rap. It all starts to sound the same to me.

I agree with you. I do not listen to any commercial FM radio, since it is all so bland and repetitive.

Don't know why but my Z1 works fine on my wireless network however my 920 always had issues...

I think my work wireless is bias!
