Re: WPC 30K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

All right, I made it to my goal of 1000 posts by the end of this week with the last post for today!
Good night to my Western Hemisphere friends. Good morning / Good day to folks in Australia, Asia, Middle East and Europe.

Why is it considered necessary to nail down the lid of a coffin?
Why does the sun lighten our hair, but darken our skin?
Why can't women apply mascara with their mouths closed?
Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle?
Why don't you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?
Why is "abbreviated" such a long word?
Why is a boxing ring square?
Why is it called lipstick if you can still move your lips?
Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice"?
Why is it that rain drops but snow falls?
Why is it that when you're driving and looking for an address, you turn down the volume of the radio?
Why is lemon juice made from artificial flavour and dishwashing liquid made from real lemons?
Why is the man who invests all his money called a broker?
Why isn't there mouse flavoured cat food?
Why can't they make the whole plane out of the material used to make thay little indestructible black box?

My previous phone before this was my 520 and yeah, it didn't take me long to adjust to the massive size of the 520. :)

I know the 1520 fills a niche for people who like phablets. I don't hate it. I just don't want something that's too big to fit in the pockets of my trousers or jeans.

Re: WPC 30K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I quit once I was not a student, even though in worked for a chemical company for 11 years. I really hated chemistry and only belonged to ACS as a student since it was cheap and I enjoyed the social activities.

I taught chemistry for years to high school seniors at a community science center and undergraduates who were freshmen and sophomore when I was in graduate school. The irony is that chemistry was my favorite subject in high school and because of my chemistry teacher I decided on what I wanted to do when I went for my undergrad and graduate degrees....

Heh, do you still have more after you sold all of those 822's? :)

About 10 of them, I went on another eBay/Craigslist spree. I am shipping one tomorrow, the one I posted a picture of yesterday. Once I fix the camera module, the second one is spoken for as well but I should have about 6 good ones left over. The other scraps I will hang on to for parts if I decide to repair some additional phones.

No 822 for me, since I have AT&T, not Verizon. :unhappy:

822 works fine on Verizon but has issues on T-Mo. I have a thread there about SMS/MMS issues. Sahib and I are trying to figure the correct settings out for T-Mo. The ATT settings are described quite well in the 822 Forum.

It turned out that I took the wrong major. A high school guidance counselour steered me into biology. When I took the Strong Interest Inventory years later, it showed I had little interest in life science. I went back to school and studied IT, which was highly rated on Strong for me.

I would love to get it but alas it is not available on T-Mo. I am dying to get the T-Mo compatible 1320 as well but I cannot seem to find it anywhere.

I have LTE on AT&T here, so AT&T branded devices are best for me.

Re: WPC 30K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I should be getting my 520 soon as my androids contract ends in March.

Really looking forward to it.

Just wish I could get the 525 instead but for reasons unknown my country will not get the successor of the 520 even though close naboring countries already have it. Nokia RSA even gave the lamest excuse. The 520 is selling so well that we do not want to discontinue its success as it has a good established price point that people are willing to pay.

Am glad things worked out for the better for you. I work in a technical field and these days use more engineering statistics than anything else. My latest hobby seems to be fixing Lumia 822 phones:)
