I would rent a car. I brought the car for my first road trip through Scotland, mainly because I was too young to rent a car, and it was fun. But it takes a lot of time with the fairy, and I think it's pretty expensive, the entire trip up to the coast and then the fairy.

Fairy -> little creature with wings
Ferry -> Boat

Also the ferries are cheap at certain times of year. It's usually if you have last minute plans or try to get on one over the UK long weekends that they're expensive. We paid ?29 for a return crossing. That's for car and up to 4 people. Ferry crossing is 90 minutes from Dover to Calais.

The most expensive part would be the petrol but if you're renting a car that would be the same anyway.

I realized the mistake when I was already pipetting, then I thought it's certainly funny to read ;-)

I'd had to drive a few 1000 km up to the coast, that's pretty expensive I guess and takes a lot of time. I don't know yet, let's see

The paper is about the limbs. To be more specific, about the limb evolution. (The limb is called stalk ;-) )

The bacterium I work on also has stalks, that's why I'm reading it.

Limb evolution in bacteria is interesting as it's a basic premise for all limbed animals. I don't understand it but I know it's important. I see why you're reading it.
