heres a thought
1) maybe they have extra room so when you take it out it never touches the walls of the glue stick
2) maybe it only sticks to paper and not plastic

I don't like them I have this thing when I go to a clinic or hospital and im the patient I get nervous and it messes up with their readings and once they mistakenly told me I had high blood pressure and then I told them well I get nervous when you are around me so they took it without them in the room and it went back to normal ..in other words.... I hate hospitals

maybe because it is still in liquid form :O because when some of the glue sticks at the top it actually sticks to it.....
