Not sure how I feel about having to keep location and data on all the time to make Cortana useful and location aware. It makes sense but concerns me how my battery life will be.

I agree. My battery is not the greatest.

Yes i can't change my language to US because it doesn't remove the UK English :/ wonder if it's specific to HTC

Only way I could change all settings to all is was with hard reset. Admittedly I didn't try to hard lol. Have you checked the front page article?

If you turn off the rest of the apps in the background in Battery Saver, the performance is as good as before. I am seeing about 1% per hour or so....
