Mmmm what does "EX" mean ?

An ex is the person that breaks up with you or divorces you . So for example I had a gf and she left me so she becomes my ex gf. Or when a wife leaves her husband that becomes his ex wifi.
It applies to other things too. So like boo said she was an ex engineer. She is not an engineer anymore

I don't know English very well as well. I studied in an ICSE school , so I now some/necessary English. Same is the case for Arabic, and Hindi as well. I don't entirely know it .
