re: WC 100K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

He explained this a while ago, he has a fear of doctors. I guess it's something similar as other people have with clowns, with the difference that doctors could help with the clowns, while there's a problem of being afraid from what could help you...

I will keep myself as healthy as I can be ! ironically though I have friends going into the dental assistant field and others in the nursing program.

re: WC 100K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

My first computer Hp Pavilion a6120in ran Windows Vista Home Basic on just 512 mb ram. This was 7 years ago, precisely September 2007. It ran smooth on Web browsing and Office work. Not gaming obviously, except flash games. I loved the way it worked smoother than the school xp computers with superior hardware. I used it for 5 years straight without a single reinstall. Then in 2012 I upgraded it to 4GB DDR2 ram,NVIDIA Geforce GT520 2GB DDR3, and Windows 8. It's smoother than either 7 or vista. Vista SP2=Windows 7 in terms of performance. I don't get the bad opinion about Vista everyone has right now. It runs fine on 512mb ram and a Pentium D processor.
yup that's how I see it. only people who stuck with vista till service pack 2 would understand that vista was just like 7 but 7 had a different task bar.

I'm going to need a bigger phone 📱 and a laptop 💻 /tablet for college next year 🏫. Can't take my trusty desktop 😢 . I'll probably buy the phone now. Looking at the Lumia 1520 yellow..... I need a large screen for web browsing. Wish 🌠 they had a cyan 1520 😞. As for a 💻 laptop, I'll have the surface pro 4 if MS releases it in India, or a Lenovo Flex 2/Hp Envy X3. Surface will be awesome for note 📝 taking. 👌

You think 512 MB RAM is bad ? I ( We, it was family computer) had a PC with 256 MB and 40 GB HDD running WIN XP until summer 2011. Than we bought custom made PC with Intel core i5, 4 GB RAM and 1 TB HDD running WIN 7. Than last year I moved in my new room and I also got new computer, Intel Core i5 4430, 8GB RAM 500 GB HDD and 120 GB SSD and I have WIN 8.1 on it. I love how fast is the new computer with SSD. It's best spent money on new computer. I don't play games so I don't have dedicated graphic card.

Until 2011? 😲 It must have been bought in 2002,no? Wow I bet a smartphone wouldn't last that much! 😔.

How much time does it take to boot with the SSD? My 7 year old PC takes precisely 5 sec, including the splash screen, and quick startup turned on.

Nice! What is the Power of the lenses?

My eyes aren't too bad. It's more for driving during nights and recognizing faces.

Actually, I had almost bought some very fancy glasses, but they had a special shape and would have been very expensive. So I settled for a more basic model. Still expensive enough, you'd get a Lumia 1020 for the same price ;-)

3.8" screen is so small for web browsing 😞 😣 I wonder how people browse on the 3.5" iPhone 4 and the 4" iPhone 5. Text is too tiny 😣. And Steve Jobs said it is the perfect size for a smartphone :p

Ha! I don't recall the exact specs cause it was back in 96, but my first PC was a dual CPU motherboard with Pentium Pro CPU's (can't remember if it was 150MHz or 200 MHz per CPU) It dual booted Win 95 and Win NT.

I started out with computers in 1983, and quit code writing in 1988. Played with the IBM-PC running MS-DOS, BBC Micro, Commodore 64, ZX Sinclair Spectrum etc.

To combine both your sentences - did you order Google Glass?

You got me!

Actually I could imagine buying an Android phone, but Google glasses definitely goes a little bit too far sharing my life with Google ;-)

I remembered it because for a while I bought every month the "Gadget of the Month", I didn't buy anything this month, but I bought the glasses. So my girlfriend asked me if the glasses count as gadget of the month now.

The speaker on my 810 would not work yesterday afternoon and all of a sudden today morning it is working fine, strange bug on WP8.1. I'm guessing Cortana is to blame though:)
