It's seems they also made a cellphone. Not clear whether it's a smartphone or not. Or what the OS they run.

My HDTV is Sharp, bought it over 8 years ago. Still running like a champ....
Here is the phone they brought to the USA but only on Sprint and its MVNOs...

Sharp is one of the older brands around. Well respected for their LCD panels. They do make phones but very limited and typical certain markets.

Sharp is a brand that's been around for some time. I almost got a job there after graduating college. They were just working on LCD TVs at the time.
