Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I agree that post processing is important. Still, the best camera on a phone I've used so far was the Lumia 920, based on its overall versatility. I take a lot of pictures in mixed lighting and I've yet to own anything that was able to do well on the shooting conditions I use with minimal post process afterwards.

Some of my favorite pictures I took on the 920 I didn't post process at all and they came out stunning. My point is a if the original optics didn't produce a good base to sample from, you're putting lipstick on a pig in many ways.

In good lighting, many cameras on phones do well. It's the mixed and low light is where you see the camera chops show up.

You know about my L920 experience so I'll just stop there. It's an OK camera but I've enjoyed the Z3 experience more.

I'm hoping that Android 6 brings some fixed to the Z camera.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I've been getting news from Loudwire and Ultimate Classoc Rock for a while now regarding GnR re-uniting. I've been sceptical at the beggining but know it seems that the rumors may be true after all.
Really, when you look at the whole picture it actually doesn't seem impossible. Duff has already played with Axl on concerts, Slash recently said that he and Axl are no longer in bad relations, plus all the other things and we may see a orignal* GnR lineup tour somewhere in summer 2016.
As a fan, i'd sell half of my liver to pay all the stuff necessary to see them live.

That original lineup will be consisted of Axl, Slash and Duff only, since Izzy is nowhere to be found and i don't think Sorum and/or Adler will get their invitations, especially Adler (is he alive?).
Well at least that my poiny of view.
I saw them live before they were considered big. I wasn't overly impressed but it could have been due to the sound system they had. It sounded like noise for the most part.

I think GnR is something for the young rebellious types. I no longer find their music that appealing and Axl irritates me.

I originally heard of them from college radio.

A friend of mine saw them in a small club back in 1987 before they became popular.

I saw them as an opening act for Iron Maiden at an open stadium. I'm guessing since I didn't know who they were at the time I didn't pay attention.

I've heard Sweet Child o' Mine so many times now that when it comes on I change channels. Even Welcome to the Jungle is boring now, for me.

They did come in at an interesting point in music though. Between the hair band of the 80s and the new grunge sound of the 90s. I did listen to them quite a bit during that time.

I've found music rather dull for the most part since 2000 but there have been some interesting bands here and there. It also comes down to what you're into I suppose.

I know they had some sound system problems during the tour with Metallica, so that could be the reason. Also Axl never really tried to do his best at concerts, they were doing as much as 100 of them during the period of one year. That's why his vocals suffered and got them to cancel few concerts.

GnR were one of the first rnr bands i had ever listened to, and Welcome to the Jungle was the first rock song i really liked. So you can say i began to love this genre because of them and Axl.

You're right there, those songs have become something like cliches.
Personally i'm more into songs like You're crazy, My Michelle, Nightrain, Rocket Queen and believe it or not Sympathy for the devil.

The problem with the music after 2000. is that everyone is focused on making their songs 'mainstream', just to sell the. And i get really, really nervous when i see a rock/metal performer doing Gaga thing.
Disturbed is on this way with their latest album, i'm just hoping this is them experimenting and they won't do it anymore. I mean, they're like metal bad***** and they make something like The Light, embarassing. I loved the album for the most part of it, but other part not so much.

I hope so too...something along the lines of what they did for the Z5 line. But somehow, i doubt it.

It's Sony, keep expecting.... Hey that makes for a nice punchline....kinda like Microsoft and seems faster

That's why I never expected much from them, and used their products as is. I do give LG credit - at least the G3 and G4 have been in line for updates.

Sony just haven't figured out that it isn't enough to make good hardware. Samsung is learning the same lesson to...but their margin for error is a bit bigger.

I'm almost ready for a new phone. Just need to decide which OS should I splurge on more...

Good luck with your choice. I'll try my experiment for two weeks to see how i feel. I still really like the G4. I just don't know of right now it'll get as much usage from me yet.

The only two on my shortlist are the G4 and the X Force. Otherwise, nothing else appeals to me.

So here's some pictures without post processing. They're still good a as far as I'm concerned.
This is of a round fortress called Bellver Castle and some city and country shots.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I got this hoodie from the AndroidCentral promotion.
View attachment 119515

I wore it yesterday at my family's Christmas gathering. Two of my cousins knew what it meant, since they have Nexus devices.

Can you give me link to the website? There was a similar, if not the same hoodie, on sale here on WC with Cortana stuff on it, but i lost the link.

GF is enjoying her Band 2. She'll get her first workout in tomorrow morning while wearing it, so it should be a good story over breakfast...

I'm going to wait for the band 3 just because it doesn't give me that much more than my now broken band 1.
