Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

It's a crap? Well i may not know alot about economy but as far as i know being in G8 hasn't been a bad thing, at least till now?
Maybe because my age I'm getting more cynical but I've always question authority so I tend to see the darker side of society.

Here's the thing. Working is basically slave labour with a different name. So long as you work for someone else you're at their mercy regardless how good the company seems or the idea of progression in the company.

The capitalist idea is to keep people at a level where they spend more than they earn to keep the poor poor and middle class unbalanced. Debt is a big part of the economy, all economies, but especially the US. Capitalist want people to be in debt to constantly think they can achieve more by spending more. A lot of young people these days have zero concept of how much things cost. It's a big problem but one the capitalist love.

Capitalist constantly sell dreams to the populace. They get the politicians to help sell their dreams. You here the slogans and the rhetoric of the politicians because they're all bought by the capitalists.

A lot of people are blind to all this, which is what the capitalist want. A dumb populace they can sell anything to.

They're slowly achieving this unfortunately and it shows most in the western world...

I totally understand that. And i do realise that huge majority of US citizens are in great depts. That's clear to me. But yet, even with huge personal and common dept, people in countries such as US have greater life standard, that's a fact. For example, iPhone 6s 128GB in T-Mobile USA costs 850$, here it costs around 1150$, that's around 2050 BAM. That's ALOT. That's like 4 average wages.

I agree with all of what you've said, just like socialism, capitalism has it's flaws.

In US tax is not included in prices unlike in Europe ;)
But yeah, stuff like that is probably cheaper, cars too. But their health care isn't free ( it's not here either but you know what I mean), over here to go to a good university you have to be good in school, over there you have to have a lot of money.

So it would be nice to live in US if you were so kind of very rich person who doesn't have to work all day. If you aren't you are not much better than off than in Europe. Saying that, I do understand Bosnia isn't a place you would want to live.

Honestly, it's the last place i want to live in. Don't get me wrong, i love my country, but the current state here, not so much.

So, I've already got my tickets to this concert on March 19th.

Joe Satriani

Upcoming Events | Joe Satriani : From Surfing to Shockwave | The Florida Theatre

Then tonight I just find out that exactly 1 month later, at the same venue:

Upcoming Events | Generation Axe featuring Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Bettencourt and Tosin Abasi | The Florida Theatre

Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, AND Yngwie Malmsteen??? OMG I'm gonna be a concert going fool!

And a broke one to boot!

I've seen Joe Satriani and Steve Vai twice. You'll enjoy their concerts!

I saw Zakk Wylde when he was with Ozzy's band. He's a great guitarist too.

You fell right into the trap...

The US is a place where if you don't have a job you don't have great medical care. To me that's a lot more important than an iPhone. Then even if you do have a job and you get a serious condition what typically happens is you lose your job, your insurance runs out and then you sell everything (all those great possessions don't mean much when you're trying to live) then end up on TV begging for money to help you survive for a little longer.

Yes I've seen that, too many times.

There are good things about the US, don't get me wrong, there's great people there and beautiful landscape, but it's slowly being killed by individualism and greed. Worse is that those ideas are spreading to other countries. I've always found it odd how the worst ideas of the US seem to spread...

Accountants and capitalist have turned what should be a great country into a land slowly dwindling and destroying all that is good about it. Then spreading those ideas because misery loves company.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Do you have a bathroom yet?
No but we should by next week. A couple of days before we move in.

The plumber we hired had too much work and our house suffered because of it. He put us three weeks behind. He finished one job, sort of, but we had to get another plumber in last minute to do the other bathroom as he said he couldn't do it. Our kitchen plumbing is being finished today by someone else.

Luckily we have managed that. I just hope things go smoothly and we have a bathroom next week.
