Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Damn, I just realised that I made a terrible, rookie mistake. I've bought a 16GB SD card thinking it would be enough. It has around 5GB free left at the moment.
Now I have to buy a new one, at least a 64GB, transfer my files onto it, then try to sell it somehow.

I always get a 32 gb as card since all I use it for is. files / music / apps

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I'm having a total Sahib moment, but, who cares.
Do you folks think I should bother restoring my phone back to 8.1, and then again re-join the Insider Program, get the latest build, and hope for god damn glance to work?

I would ;) I was thinking about doing that on my 830 after flashing a new firmware on it .

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I've got iOS 9.3 on both my iPhone 6S Plus and my iPad Air 2... Good stuff!

Also downloading the newest build of W10M on my trusty 1520 today.

My (also trusty) desktop gamer is screaming fast with all the new hardware goodies! (The new GTX 970 4GB SuperSuperclocked video card and the 250GB Sammy SSD. I also got some more RAM (8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz).) Gave this 5year old gaming build a new lease on life!!

Oh! Also got the brand new Corsair CX850M 850w PSU in there!

(I'm gonna make a "Rig spec post" in the custom PC builds forum section...

Anyway, There's a bunch of thunder storms coming through here today (btw I'm off today and tomorrow AND Monday!!!) so the PC is shutdown and unplugged!

Guess I might put these new strings on the Les Paul

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

My completely air cooled, custom built, Mid-high end gaming PC. (Original build 2010)

*New specs as of March 16, 2016*

?Case - CoolerMaster HAF 932 advanced w/3 gigantic 230mm fans (one of which lights up red LED!) and one 120mm fan. This beast is probably the last full size ATX tower case I'll ever need.

?Motherboard - EVGA X58 SLI LE (Intel ICH10R) LGA1366 (easily one of the best boards I've ever owned!)

?Processor - Original Intel Core i7 920 Quad Core (Bloomfield) stock @2.67Ghz (had it overclocked @3.6Ghz at one point, but I'm using stock cooling, and it's a 5year old CPU now, so I'm running it at stock speeds and it still performs amazingly!!

?Memory - 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 @1600Mhz (upgraded from 6GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 which would only run stable @1066Mhz)

?GPU - EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB SSC ACX2.0 (SSC = Super SuperClocked +140Mhz (1190Mhz GPU Clock, 1753Mhz Mem. Clock)

?SSD - 250GB Samsung V-NAND SSD 850 EVO

?HDD Storage - 3TB Western Digital Blue spinner

?PSU - Corsair CX850M 850w modular

?OS - Windows 10 Pro 64bit Version 1511 (build 10586.164)

Not a fan as much of the 808 chip. I think it's OK, but it's probably the Adreno GPU that makes the phone a little more sluggish than it should be. Still, it has moments where this thing absolutely flies...

G4 Approved

I'm still planing to get the 950 if it drops to $399

Sure... but the thing to remember is some of these parts are from 2010.

In 2010, I bought this (as far as I can remember...)

Case (CoolerMaster HAF 932) ~ $169 USD IIRC
CPU (i7 920) ~ $269 USD IIRC
Motherboard (EVGA X58 SLI LE) ~ $189 USD IIRC

Then all the new upgrade stuff recently (2016)

RAM (8GB Corsair Vengeance) FREE.. Was given to me by my friend (probably would cost $150 back then)

Video Card (EVGA GTX 970 4GB) on sale: $329.00
Samsung SSD (250GB) on sale: :$95.00
HDD (WD3TB blue) on sale $99.00
PSU (Corsair 850w) on sale: $139.00

So add it all up and this is a little over a $1400 gaming build.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Wait.... The display! I'm still running 1080p (no 4K displays yet here at the EDRo's house!)

But I do have a nice 27" AOC 1080p LED display with a 2ms response time! I love it and to me.. 1080p (1920x1080) is perfectly fine for my eyes....

I think I paid about $289-$300 for this one.

So add the display, plus the peripherals (keyboard, mouse, game controllers, headsets, cameras, USB devices etc. and you'll have a gaming System with $1700-$2000 into it. Or more...

Oh and can't forget the $20 LG DVD burner lol

Wow I got 600$ lined up and saving (been saving for a while for about 2 years ) look like I might not spend as much as you . I am going to keep my tower ( atx size case) and 2 21" 1080p monitors. What I am going to replace is my mobo, cpu( using a core 2 quad Q8200s ATM ) ram , and graphics card. I want to start building my rig after I get done with this semester
