It was $3200 for the Walkman... which is a 'luxury' item plus the headphones which were $2300. This stuff is for audiophiles who think they can hear distortions when it's virtually impossible. I was a bit concerned about the $35,000 you posted. That would be a bit silly.
As for the phone, yes I knew about that already. It's unfortunate they killed off the compact but not overly surprising. I guess they don't listen well to customers. :/
I like the look of the XZ but I'm not going to make any moves to buy it as it's probably ridiculously expensive. I do like that blue though.

I have a question for any experts on vinyl LPs. I purchased a remastered Trilogy LP by ELP. It sounds good but I really need to turn up the volume. It has a much lower volume than any of my other LPs, by ELP or anyone else, and whether original or remastered. Did I get a bad copy of Trilogy? Should I send it back?

I realised my mistake, but it was to late to correct it

As much as luxury it is, it's still insanely priced. Why would they coat it with cold? I can't think of a reason.
And the phone, it's meh, I just played with my cousin's Z2, and man it's a pretty phone, classy af.

It's basically Socialist (which I lean towards more than to others) and nationalists at our table. My grandpa vs his brother in law. It eventually came to me to tell them who I'm considering to vote for. I'm obligated to, and no one's making me or anything, but I just don't have reasons to hide my points of view. Anyway, dad's uncle isn't speaking with me anymore. I'd call him immature (he's 65+) but that would be disrespectful.

You've never seen the Vertu mobile phones I take it? Originally Nokia owned.
It may not make sense to you or me why someone would buy that stuff but there is a market for it. Also audiophiles have this desire to spend loads of cash on something supposedly getting rid of that 'nasty' distortion stuff that they can't technically hear.
I'm not going to say I don't like quality stuff and if you have the cash you should by what you can afford at the best quality. I don't quite get the luxury market as I don't exist in that area. A lot of it seems pointless.

It's slowly getting there. For the long tenured folks, they may not be feeling the pinch as much...but for someone new like me, it's killer. Housing and employment are the top two issues in NYC, by far.

Those prices are a lot better than I was expecting. Still not going to buy either of them at this stage but I'm a bit more impressed with the pricing.

That's a little insane... but then I have people at my work who commute from Liverpool and Newcastle. I wouldn't be surprised finding someone commuting from another country here...

Nope. Most times in the program you intern at two different organizations. The goal there is to ensure you see different things and get a more rounded experience. This new place is more of s community mental health clinic, so ideally I'll be working across a wider spectrum - age wise and pathology wise.

Already read it. That was a pre-production unit so I'm waiting until a review comes out of the actual release model.
Also I want to see it in person before making any sort of decision on it.
On the whole I like it. I don't mind the way it looks and I like the blue colour. I know the Sony skin and I like some of the Sony software. So on the whole I know what I would be getting.
My main concerns were price and camera. Price isn't too bad. Camera still debatable. I do wish it came with Android 7 but not the end of the world.
Still up in the air about it though. I'm not in a hurry or anything so it would be at least a couple of months.

Cool. My plan is to get down to two devices, most likely one windows and one Android. Most likely the 950 model and either a Mi 5/G5/HTC 10/Nexus 5X/Nextbit Robin. We'll see what happens.

I've seen luxurious-overpriced phones before, and they don't make sense to me just like this Walkman thing.
As for the headphones, I've seen some really expensive, but again within reason, around 500$, and I guess they're really, really good, Audiotehnica (or something like that).
