The Mix 2 performed as expected. Standby time was great, performance was excellent, battery was good, and it was nice to have access to the bigger screen and the weighty feel of the device. This is definitely daily driver material for me. I kinda like the Mi Mix 2 S because of the newer chip, dual cameras and Qi built-in, but I don't think I'll go through the effort to get one.
As for the Q explorist, it performed as expected. The battery life was so-so. It looked really good on the wrist (the rose gold was very subtle) and the default watchface is solid. It chugged through the OS just fine. I would not use this as a daily driver because of the battery life and the lack of Qi. This inductive charging crap makes the watch take hours (!) to recharge. Also, I don't like how the radios on the watch run. Initially I'd say it's Xiaomi (the phone) but I suspect similar stuff if I paired it with the Pixel.
All in all, a very attractive bigger watch suited for dress up. I wouldn't have paid that $300 Fossil is asking for at all. Also, I won't use this as daily driver material at all. I'd almost argue that the Huawei watch 2 classic is a better mix to my style of dress up and usefulness.

I'm very saddened as to what LG is doing in the marketplace. They just seem lost and 2018 appears to be just selling **** they was working on in the labs that it was too expensive to not get into production.
It's like they finally have a decent enough design and cannot get out of their own way. Just don't get it at all. Part of me still would own a V30, but they're so shoddy with their software support (not Moto bad, but not that far off) I don't feel like it.

Other random comments for the peanut gallery:
1) the Xiaomi ANC USB-C headphones have been ok. They're a little temperamental, but they work. I wish I could have tried Andy's earbuds though.
2) Don't like the battery life I get on the Pixel, otherwise the phone works as reviewers have said.
3) Having said that, if the camera on the Mi Mix 2 was 80% of the Pixel 2's, the Mix 2 would be my daily driver.

I still would own a V30 at the right price for the audio chops, but man LG is using the same stuff Kanye used at the start of the week. Need to lay off that mess, I swear...

I like the V30 better than the G7. The G7 doesn't appeal to me at all.

The one thing I like about the G7 is the G button, that dedicated Assistant button. Love how you don't have to use "Ok Google" to make it work. A very useful touch indeed.

Yup, it was a bit longer than anticipated. Weather forced the flight path a bit north over Canada and the headwinds were terrible. In the bright side, middle seat was vacant.
