Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

A few minor details:

The black hole, which is "unseeable" to the naked eye, measures 40 billion km across, or three million times the size of the Earth

It was scanned over a period of 10 days in the Messier 87 galaxy

It is "larger than the size of our entire Solar System", Prof Heino Falcke, of Radboud University in the Netherlands, who proposed the experiment.
87? I’m not a big hockey fan but I thought Mark Messier wore #11 .

I think that if the G7+ doesn't sell, I'll send it to Rue as a housewarming gift.

All poor jokes aside, if it doesn't sell, I'm OK with trading it. Or even keeping it. I don't regret getting it or using the V35. I like the G7 design better than the G8, although most people seemed to not like the G7 look, seeing the G8 as a better version of the G6.

A few days in and I'm satisfied with the V35. Haven't fully opened it up yet camera wise as I'm waiting to do the next manual update first. Because it's not a new unit, I won't be able to properly guage battery life...it still feels better than the G7.

The one issue I have is finding cases for this thing. The cases suck as they are retreads for the V30, camera is slightly lower on the V35. I may have to put a skin on the back and just use it like I did the V20 - without a case.

Do you like something such as this? https://www.amazon.com/Ringke-Compa...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUwpUvbUpU3779107

I have a case from Ringke for my V20 and like it.

Let's not forget one of the most impressive parts of this which was the algorithm that brought this picture to life.

Purposely created to avoid putting any 'human' influence on the picture and using the raw data to create the picture instead. The fact they got it to work 'easily' apparently startled them. They were expecting more hiccups.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I'm so not looking forward to the long drive this weekend.

The good part is we found a cat sitter (a vet nurse) so we don't need to bring the cat with us which is less stressful for her and us.

We'll be making more trips back and it's good that we now have someone that can take care of her.

Was doing some work in the orchard (ya, retired!!) Now I'm a machete welding maniac. Clearing neglected section of the farm, thick underbrushes, woodies and weeds..

Then the skies opened up and had a very heavy downpour that lasted an hour...
El Nino has hit the region for months, so glad for the rain came.

Manually updated the V35 to the February security patch. Added the Gear Sport. So we will try this mix and see how it works.

"We lost the sofa"
Damn. My sister is a certified cat lady and her rescued mother she adopted is cute but Hates metal.

Seems like I have quite a few people I know with interesting/crazy cat stories. I do like cats more than dogs, but I cannot have any as the GF is allergic.

Some more pictures taken with the S10+ .
We are at the beach in Ventura right now but because of the dredging process the water is terrible looking.
