Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Well, the trick is about finding what the lessons are and applying them forward...not overthinking things.

People get together with others that have things they like and hope they can change the things in them they don't like. That doesn't always work, but we seem to like trying that.
I think it's best to accept a partner for who he is, rather than try to change him. Nobody is perfect, but if the pluses are greater than the minuses, then that's great. Keep in mind that if he accepts you for who you are, and he doesn't want to change you, then that's also great.

Its about working to make make the relationship work.
I've relatives who got married through family match-making, The couples were adults, but I know of some which were match as kids and they had to wait to be married when be come adults. Its not strange to find the success rates to be equal or higher than the normal relationships.... Perhaps its a cultural thing

Well said Laura. Last time was the first time I generally dealt with this and it was nice. That gives me hope for the future.

That's really interesting, thank you for sharing that. It could be possible. My parents weren't arranged (or set up), and as of this week, they have been a couple for 39 years and married for 36. My dad chose my mom and they are successful and still pleased with one another.

I'm starting to think that there were enough similar/important values shared with the couples you mention, along with attraction as well. This seems to be the sweet spot from my observations. I share my frustrations but a part of me is looking forward to applying the lessons I learned to hopefully spend less time on those who do not fit.

Your words are kind.

Thank you, but I also figure that you must have something that is working for you as well since it seems like you have been in something that is working like since before I hopped in here lol. I could be wrong and I'm sorry if I am but it does seem that way.

I agree.

I also believe that having someone who is OK with pushing you to grow and you doing the same for them is important too.

Tax season sucks this year. Thank you Tio DTJ! Remind me to never invite you over for dinner...oh yeah, you were already barred from the house.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I had to make a trip to downtown Los Angeles today. Got a good parking spot and took some random shots. S10+ was the only device I had.
Some pictures from the main camera.

I love Funicular trains.
First one I rode was at Cape of Good Hope in South Africa. Second one was in Prague, Czech Republic. Third one was at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Well downtown LA has Angel's Flight and I have been meaning to get there. As luck would have it, I got a parking spot right next to it. Enjoy some pictures. Of course I took the 2 minute ride up.

Some more pictures of Angel's Flight.
I love the ultra wide lens. Took Samsung longer than LG but their execution is miles ahead.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

On my return I spotted the Goodyear blimp over Dodgers stadium sporting Jackie Robinson's Jersey number courtesy of the telephoto lens.
The camera setup is very versatile and I was able to use all three lenses in one quick 45 minute trip today.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So latest news is that the overall structure has been saved. The interior though blackened is in good shape though anything wood is most likely gone. The artwork has been saved. Haven't heard anything about the stained glass.

1/3 of the ceiling has collapsed and the roof is completely gone.

So sad it's happened but at least it looks like they managed to keep it mostly intact.

It will probably take around 40 years to rebuild and million of euros.
