Main Senate / Congress building. The side annexes were gorgeous new architecture buildings but too many trees around to capture a clean shot. Also the Presidents statues is a nice little touch.

I loved the architecture in the old town. I would rank it probably one of my favorites in North America.


By this time I was tired and just wanted to get to the car and have done nice cold water.

So update on the phone.

Accountant is happy with the idea. So plus there.

Wife is fine with the idea and wants to keep the headphones. She needs a new phone as well but can't seem to find one... Sigh.

So last thing is for me to go see if I can find it in person and make up my mind.

I'm 80% there overall. If the shop has the bundle and the four payment options I could potentially have it today at lunch time. :shocked: Let's see what happens!

It is an adjustment. I've felt it every time I go up in screen size, so I know exactly what you're talking about. Even going from the V35 to the Mate 20 Pro I still noticed it.

If you get a chance, something like a V40 can be a good reference point to see what you're dealing with for the X 1 assuming you cannot find a X10 or a X 1 in the shop first hand.

I'm curious to see how this plays out.

The shop I went to didn't have the X1 but they had the X10. I'm assuming they're similar sizes.

I think the phone is still too new here so not in the shops at the moment.

I'll just have to order online I suppose.

The design is similar, the difference is the screen size. What was your impression of the X10?

The X10 felt good (the slender form is nice) but in general didn't seem overly large. It is bigger than what I'm used to but it didn't seem that big.

I know the X10+ is closer to the X1 but that wasn't around either....

Overall though I don't think I'll have an issue. I have fairly large hands and the one handed mode appears to be good.

I'm at a shipping centre and looked at the X10+. It's fine.

My wife won't get one is too big for her. She's a bit stuck. Possibly the XZ2.

The zx2 compact is kinda "old" but that's the best suggestion I have unless a Pixel 3a will work better for her.

I'm curious about the new phone journeys so please keep us updated.

I agree with Libra about the XZ2C. But the regular XZ2 isn't a bad option either.

Let us know what the wife chooses. She can always get a Pixel 3 for S&G, but somehow, I don't see her doing that.
