No smartphone has everything you want, not even something from the fruit stand.

S7 hardware running "stock Android" might be the closest. DAC isn't great though...

So yes, you're right. Nothing in Android wear interests me much either.

Unfortunately none of those interest me much.... :/

I've seen the P9 and it looks nice but the rest, don't know. I didn't think the Pixel was known at this point...

I'd wait to see how the Pixel looks first before deciding.

Ed, hats off to you mate. It's a difficult time in life caring for a parent.

We all need our distractions in life. ;)
Thanks Rue. It is difficult at times, but she's my mom.

We've got to take care of our parents! They brought us into this world...

iPhone! (Lol)

Now that's out of the way...

Today they're having the "iPhone 7" event in San Fran.

I have no plans on getting the 7 myself, but will wait for the "tock" model of the "tick tock" cycle. (AKA the "S" model) where they take the new phone and improve everything internal. The 6S/6S Plus models were huge improvements in performance all the way around over the 6, though they look like the same exact phone.

Couple things I'm interested in hearing about today though, are:

• will they actually finally ditch the 3.5mm jack?
• are they going to use OLED screens?
• what new camera tech?

I do like the sound (no pun) of the "32bit quad DAC" audio, and the HD, 3 mic recording!

Edit: stuff like this would come in handy when I ever get back around to recording more guitar videos and such.. Y'know, one day, maybe when I retire, I'll have the free time. By then, the camera and audio tech will be so advanced, I'll be playing my guitar for you in your living room as a hologram or something... ;)

I'm still at a loss what to get for a new phone. The Z3 is starting to show it's age. I have no interest in any phone at the moment and definitely don't want to spend huge amounts either.

Sort of stuck.
iPhone will be out today so maybe...?😁

3.5mm jack is dead, man.

I'll watch this to see the news, but it's the 10 year anniversary iPhone (next year) is what I REALLY want to see.

Approved by Z3 Tablet Compact!

I wonder if they were the first to invent wireless charging yet?
