About 1.5 years ago I had the pulleys, bearings (including alternator bearing) replaced along with the belt. The only one that we didn't replace was the tensioner. Well last Thursday night on the way back from the Microsoft store the tensioner bearing gave out and broke the serpentine belt and stranded me on the side of the highway about 8 miles away from home. Got that sorted out and picked the car up yesterday.

I need to do some more testing, as I'm wondering if it's the headphone itself. So far, if you have the phone app open but the screen off, it's fine - even if the phone is locked. I think the issue is when you get out of the phone app and maybe lock the screen again with the earphones in, then you've got the issue.

I tried it on speakerphone both in the phone app and the screen off, and from the home screen and locking the phone...It worked fine in both cases.

My guess is that it's a bug. I updated to the latest ROM OTA, so I'm not sure. I'll play around with this some more before deciding to pull out the pitchfork.

Picked up another weekly update. Let's see if this will help. May do a factory reset on Sunday and start over.

I left my Audio Technica headphones in the seat pocket of my Qatar Airways flight to Doha. My work travel has picked up considerably so I got these. Plus the color matches my Pixel quite nicely and they have volume controls as well.

So I plan to do spring cleaning next week and sell some devices. I may do a back up and factory reset of the Mi Note 2 tomorrow or Monday.

A lot of uncertainty lies ahead so it is time to give up some distractions to navigate these upcoming choppy waters.

Gut impressions after a week with the Mi Note 2:

- it's still a bigger device than I'd like it to be.

- Battery performance has been as expected...Which is very good.

- Camera has been a positive surprise, except for the focus in auto mode for macro shots.

- MIUI is still the same as I remember, which I like a tad more than EMUI.

- Still wished the phone had wireless charging, OIS, and micro SD card slot.

Overall, very capable device. I still cannot help but think I'd use a 950XL over this if I had better wearable options...

Thank you Laura, I did! Water is on deck for a bit LOL.

The biggest highlight is that my favorite artist of all-time TOUCHED my hand while walking to the main stage!! I enjoyed him and the others of course but not going to forget that.

It seems like the factory reset may have resolved my issue with the Mi Note 2. I'm still testing this for sure though...
