Hey, been a long time!

Reaction - Ridiculously Expensive! Looks a lot more like a cheese grater than ever! That monitor stand is a ridiculous price!

I'm still trying to get my head around the prices....

You'd have to be a pure Apple fan to want one of those Macs and of course in need of that kind of power.

Yeah its absolutely stupid. $999 for a metal monitor stand is crazy and just what I'd expect from Apple.

Looks like I might be getting one at work in the next year though.

For someone who isn't an audiophile (at all or even close), the convenience factor is my biggest pro. I really appreciate it a few times a week.

Screen isn't that great, in fact the G7 LCD color calibration was better.
And yes the camera did disappoint me quite a bit.
So in short yes, the G8 is benched at the moment.

I was waiting for that. I think the last LG you really liked...was the G4.

I saw one in person again recently...i really liked the G7 more and the V35 screen. I was hoping for a better jump from the V35 to the G8 screen wise...and I didn't see it.

That's correct. Actually the G6 was quite nice as well. LG just got carried away with crazy pricing and lousy cameras with the G7 and G8. I looked at some of my old G6 pictures and they're way better than the newer devices.

I'd have loved to gotten the collector's edition G6, you know the one with the SD835...

I did want to try a G6 at one point. Loved the silver. But I skipped it as LG was too busy splitting up the features by region.

Though I'm no Apple fan I wouldn't complain if I had a computer that powerful at work. My current PC is a bit under powered.

It seems like a heavy investment for a company to make. Hopefully they pay well....

I'd use it if my workplace bought it, but I certainly wouldn't pay that much for any computer or my own.

So just found out that my mobile provider has the Sony Xperia 1 bundle with WH-1000XM3 headphones.

The phone is unlocked and I can pay for the phone over four installments (aprox 250/m). It's €999 total.

I should be able sell the headphones for about €250 (I hope). So bringing the price to about €750 for the phone.

The question I have, is the phone worth it? Also I haven't seen this thing in person so no idea about size, etc.

Maybe I'll see if the local shop has one on display. Still won't answer the first question though.

Personally think the phone should have been priced €750 to begin with.

I'll have to check with the wife and all that. I also get some back on VAT which will make things a little more cheaper still.

I don't want to look cool while being productive. I'd rather look bland and get **** done.

But I can understand why people want the slimmer look. My sister has one of the older models and she runs everything through there. It is a brick to carry around though as she does lots of freelance/mobile work.
