Saturday Super Breakfast - Omelet made with egg whites, prosciutto, peperoncini peppers, green olives and white onion. Hash browns made with prosciutto and white onion. Toasted english muffin.

Have you ever had socca? It's ground chickpeas made into a thin bread. It's popular in southeastern France, I guess due to the proximity to Italy.

I'm sure you know what this is like. I'm uncertain. But for now I'll say no.

I'll put it on my list though. just to be in the safe side.

So this was a lunch/snack the other day.

It was a quick attempt to recreate poutine. Some chips, cheese and gravy. Usually you use cheese curds and a beef gravy but we had neither of those so we subbed both. Mozzarella and chicken gravy. But it was good nevertheless. We have since found a place where we can get cheese curds.

This was dinner last night. We went to this Italian restaurant we've seen couple of times near Oxford Street, a street that can only be described as nuts. Regular Londoners dread going there, with reason. Strangely enough you only need to go off a side street and you're somewhere else.

So, the food. We had pizza garlic bread. A good amount as there was only two of us. My wife had prawn linguini and I had pork belly with potatoes. The food was excellent. Not bad for one street back of a major tourist spot.

I used to wrap all my snacks in flour tortillas before my efforts to lose a few kilos...
We had an old family tortilla maker not far from here for a number of years.
I dunno where they went to though

Went to a brunch today and since my 810 died yesterday and I am still waiting for the 925 to arrive, no pics:-( It was an amazing spread, due to the main sponsor of the marathon in town. My friend who ran the marathon had free tickets for the brunch and he gave them to us. I had pasta, spicy breakfast potatoes, croissants, salad, chocolate mousse and two helpings of cr?me brul?.... Yummy!
