Not sure intelligence is the right word. I've read two books on coffee and have visited a coffee plantation twice.

I'm also a trained barista (coffee maker for those who don't know the word)

I just felt if I'm going to like coffee I should know as much as I could about it.

Yes. Is probably not what you're expecting as it was in northern Queensland Australia.

The plantation is family owned and they plant their coffee a bit differently. More like a crop.

Yep. They also designed a machine to help with harvesting.

That's cool. I could picture it shaking the coffee trees to pick the beans. I saw something about how olives are harvested and packed. There is a machine that shakes the olive trees, and the ripe olives fall into a container. It was either Food Network or Discovery Channel that had the show about olives.

I drank a lot of coffee today!

I had to stop at the Honda dealership, since I have nitrogen in my tires, and the cold weather made my tire pressure monitor go off. While I waited for the tires to be topped off with nitrogen, I had two cups of coffee. The Honda dealership has a coffee bar.

Then I went over to my mother's house for dinner. She made more coffee than she wanted. I wasn't going to let it go to waste. I drank another four cups to finish the pot.

I'm wide awake now, after having six cups in only about two hours time.

I got an email from Starbucks last Sunday. From 20 January to 26 January, they're giving 4 bonus stars for each espresso drink purchased. So far I've gotten 10 stars, since I've had espresso twice. :smile:

Yes. Not everyone likes coffee. I don't recall when I had my first but I didn't become a coffee drinker until I was 32/33.

I just realised I haven't tried Starbucks in quite a while. My boss at work is a Costa man so I'm thinking of giving them a try. Forgive me Starbucks...
