Big 'ole binoculars for stargazing the dark skies.
These are best used out in the boonies away from light or for looking at the moon.

I had a 8" Celestron Telescope for years. They really keep their value. I bought it for like $2K and sold it 15 years later for $1,600. I still have a bunch of slide I took with it that I need to get converted to pictures.

If you ever get the chance, go to Kitt Peak Observatory In Tucson, AZ, https://www.noao.edu/kpno/ They have a fantastic day (looking at the sun) and night program (looking at the stars) program. You get so involved looking at the night sky that time just flies by and the next thing you know the sun is rising.

Wish I had the 8" scope!

All I have is the Meade ETX90 not much good here in the city lights.

We should RV down to Tucson for the tours.
If I remember correctly the city of Tucson installed top shades on street lighting there to help with light pollution in an attempt to help the observatory.
