Trip to US : questions

hello guys and girls,

so my off-topic topic is my trip to the US.
This summer I'll visit the US (first time) for a month, roadtrip from Seattle to California and then fly to New York.
As most of you are from the US I need some advises.
Will my European unlocked Lumia 920 work on US carriers?
What's the best deal for a SIM card for just a month (no contract)?
And finally feel free to suggest any place I should visit

I believe your phone should work no problem, though I have no first-hand experience. For a SIM I'd go to Walmart and grab a Straight Talk SIM. You may want to check store availability where you'll be, as you may have to order it, depending on availability.

At the very least, you phone will be able to text and make calls.
Data might work, but you might not get 3G, 4G/LTE, neither of those, depending on the hardware of your phone.
If you phone does support it, it might take some minor configuration in the "access point" settings panel.

I would recommend waltzing in a picking up a prepaid SIM. Picking up a GoPhone or Straight Talk SIM and throwing a month of service on that should work.
