I don't follow soccer. What happens since there's a tie? Everyone is saying that this is the final score, but that would be utterly moronic to not have a tie breaker.

Since it is still the group stage, both teams will get one point. Once the group stage is complete and if teams have equal points, the tie breaker will be the goal difference. In the event teams still share the same goal difference, I believe the next tie breaker is goals scored. In the knockout stages, if teams are tied, they go to extra time/over time. If they are still tied, then penalty shootouts.
If both teams got equal points and goal difference then the "tie breaker" is the result of the match between those teams If it was a "tie score" then there is a draw which decides who's in and who is out. That's what I've heard.
That's an interesting approach. Must be a terrible way to go out
The US still has a VERY strong chance of making it to the next round, right?

Congrats Mexico! You were better than Croatia in second half! Our players scared, so World Cup adventure is over. :'(

US hasn't qualified yet. Plus I can argue you owe me a beer because I had more faith in El Tri than you did.
So since you are also gone now its time to choose a team to support. Germany maybe ?Congrats Mexico! You were better than Croatia in second half! Our players scared, so World Cup adventure is over. :'(

Good luck in trying to get me in buying you a round at age 20 I would have to travel over seas for that
