Google being evil (again)

In summary, the are launching a new paid for music streaming service. They require all labels and artists to sign a contractual deal but the major labels are getting better terms than the independents. If the independents don't agree to the new deal Google have said they will delete all their content from Youtube within days - even before the new service begins.

In some ways this is a smart business move, but indie labels are going to stop using youtube because, if I read correctly, youtube will stop allowing indie artists to post videos on youtube without subscribing to them, which means they will lose some users, not that I am crazy about youtube anymore, but yeah, Google has been pretty evil as of late, and some of the moves they are making don't make sense to me
