Reading comprehension on this site

Why is the reading comprehension apparently at such an abysmal level in the comments on WP Central?

I mean the "discussions" in the comment threads are beyond assinine. Questions that are asked about stuff that is LITERALLY in the first sentences of the articles. Questions asked about things that are in bullet points. Questions and answers within the discussion threads that make no sense at all based on the comment they are responding to. Etc, etc.

Is it because of so many non-native English speakers? Unwillingness to read articles? Are Windows Phone users just really bad at reading? I mean these comment threads often make YouTube comment sections seem like the work of Nobel prize winners.

This is why thread titles and the gist of meaning should be purveyed in the first three sentences (or less) of any comment.

Also there are a lot of good members who struggle with English.

It is not a "WP Central" problem in any way. It is an internet problem. Users just knee-jerk and respond.

I am getting to the point I never read the comment sections. I rarely comment.
