I see that a number of people on here switch phones on a regular basis. Never mind just windows phones but like different OS in general.

So how do you do that? Do you have more than one SIM or just one SIM that you move around? Even when you do that, how do you keep contact info the same across all devices, if you use different OS?

I also wonder how you choose phones. Do you choose them by specs and the size sim card that they use? Or do you live on the edge with 2+ Sims and they aren't all the same size?

At any one time I have 3 active SIMs going.

    I'm actually in-process right now.
I just went back to 2 SIMs in my ZF2 and I just installed a T-Mo SIM and 128 GB card in the 640 (moving updating apps as I type.)
My Sony Z1s and 1020 are back in their boxes for a while :)

So now it's back to 2 phones and 3 in stasis.
(I probably should sell a few things)

Been meaning to get the 'ole 925 out and shoot a few pics...

I usually choose older phones as they become cheaper with age.
My phone accounts keep everything backed (Android is particularly good at this Windows not so much)

I have one nano SIM only. I use it for iPhone, HTC One M8 (Windows), L735, and a microSIM adapter for that SIM when I use my L925. Use Onedrive on both iOS and Windows for auto uploading of pics. I use my outlook.com account as my main mail on iPhone and Windows. iOS just synced my outlook.com account and contacts in Apple mail. I switch between the 2 systems just for fun and to stay a bit diverse. My main one is Windows mobile because I prefer the UI and Cortana. I use Cortana quite a bit.

I like both OS's a lot, but I'm partial to Windows and it serves me very well and seems to 'fit' me better.

Being fairly new to smartphones (got my first one October of '13 ... Nokia 521) I wanted to try different ones. I played around with my daughters' androids and, although they were nice, that OS just didn't appeal to me ---. Nowadays my focus is just on iOS and Windows mobile and I'm trimming down my devices to 2. An iPhone and a flagship Lumia --. I will be getting a 950.

If I had the $$$$ I'd be collecting sports cars haha

I've got 1 SIM card...nano SIM. All three phones use a nano SIM - 930, Moto Maxx, Xperia Z3. I used to use SIM card adapter, but I felt it was better just to make sure all phones use the same slot so I can switch more freely.

I use a Nexus 6 as my primary device, but I almost always carry a 2nd phone. At the moment it's an iPhone 6, but sometimes I carry my 920. My SIM card is nano, but if I want to put it in a phone which takes a different size, I use an adapter. All my stuff is on OneDrive and/or Google Drive, so it is all accessible from any device. About all that doesn't get synced between devices is text messages and call logs.

As far as tablets, I have a Nexus 7 (2012), and Nexus 7 (2013), and an iPad Mini. The Nexus 7 (2013) is the one I use the most, but the iPad Mini is close behind. I have one specific thing I use the iPad Mini for. Otherwise, it's pretty much up to whichever one is handy.

For computers, I have several PCs and a Macbook Pro. My main device is an HP laptop. When it comes to desktop I'm Windows all the way! I do like OS X, and I also have Linux Mint on my HP laptop. My wife has a Chromebook, which she really likes.

In a nutshell, I have devices with the mobile and desktop OS's of Microsoft, Apple, and Google. I like, and use, them all. But my preferences are Windows for desktop, iOS for tablet, and Android for phone. I'm about as multi platform as you can get!

One SIM here, its currently a nanoSIM.

I just take it out of whatever device and stick it in the new device. With tape if its not the right size.

I set up both phones with the intent of it being my daily driver typically. Whether my music collection gets added depends.

My Microsoft account keeps contacts, calendars and other basic info in sync. Apps and such are usually platform specific.

I choose phones first based on what platform I want, then carrier compatibility - SIM card slot size is but a small obstacle. Usually older devices over new/cheap ones. Then its just personal preference + research.

My carrier's SIM card comes as a detachable nano with micro and regular SIM sizes. It's like they simply give you a nano with adapters.
Before that I used regular SIM card adapters.

I addicted to cell phones, so I try Hi-Ends as much as possible.

My contacts and appointments sync with Google, so they're always up to date no matter what phone/OS I'm using. Pics sync with OneDrive for all of them.

This way, I can pretty much change phones and not pay too much attention.

As all my books are ebooks, the only thing is to see which page I stopped before changing phones.

I'm currently using a Lumia 640xl, a Note 4 and an iphone 6 plus. iphone is almost as bad with iOS 9 as my Lumia 640xl running preview. But at least the preview IS a preview...
For everything, Android and the Note 4 work as good as a notebook. I'm just bored of Android and it's lack of consistency. Unfortunatelly, W10 is still lacking A LOT as OS goes and apps, while not as lacking as to not fullfiling my needs, still work very bad. I just couldn't use any Audiobook player that worked as reliably as Android's, for instance.

I have all my contacts backed up to Outlook.com. When I switched from my Blackberry to WP (or even when I just decided to clean reinstall my Blackberry) I just had to log into my email and I was good to go. I popped my Micro-SIM and MicroSD card into the new phone and my number (and porn) was transferred over. My music is in a folder that WP can't find, so I'm going to have to delete and re-add it.
