Not so much a question, more an observation. I'm heavily invested in the Windows ecosystem. Every single bit of hardware I own is Microsoft. I've embraced Windows 10. But I'm never in a position where I would actively promote Windows 10 or a Microsoft built device. Only my Xbox One works as it should.

I'm sure I'm not alone here but this is a quick breakdown of some of the issues I Face daily:

#Band 2. Bluetooth connectivity unstable. Can't respond to texts or control music

#Lumia 950. Massive battery drain, heats up, needs frequent resets, W10M is more alpha than beta. Cortana UK sux.

#Continuum. Don't even know where to begin with this one. It's pre alpha. Apps close randomly, edge is a nightmare, can't open more than 4 browser tabs before it grinds to a halt, all documents you open from email need to be saved before they can be edited, the screen sometimes just blacks out

#Surface Pro 4. Screen flicker remains an issue, the battery life is poor and now a gap has appeared between my screen and the chassis, like the glue has dried up and won't bond any longer.

Overall, it just feels like Microsoft has rushed both Windows 10 and all associated hardware to market without giving too much thought into whether the end user experience will live up to expectation. The odd experimental device in the market is one thing (hololens) but right now it feels like Microsoft are all about beta and everything they launch requires a massive amount of consumer trade off. Quality and useability takes second place to just being on the Windows 10 curve

The reality is that my surface pro 3, Lumia 1520 and band 1 were a whole lot more stable, useful and reliable during the brief W8.1 era. It just feels like I've had to trade quality (in both hardware and operating system reliability) in the step up to W10.

I would love to be in a position to actively promote W10, the surface, band and Lumia. But how do you talk up an unfinished, unreliable product?

Good points, and I agree fully, nothing is finished.
People will harp on about Windows as a Service and constantly improving etc. But in my opinion an improvement should be to make something work better than it already does. But it has to be working correctly in the first place.

Look at Cortana. It has been almost two years since it's launch, still it's unavailable/unusable in a lot of places.

OP, it's been that way since Windows Mobile 2003 SE...but at least in the pre Windows Phone days there was a bit more functionality with some parts of the OS.

There's nothing wrong with having some things in beta, but the way MSFT has done things, not much will change soon.
