I ordered a 2016 Intel Compute Stick BOXSTK1AW32SC for AU$179 at MSY. I already have a wireless KB+M but I am thinking about buying the Logitech K400 Plus wireless KB with integrated touchpad. TBD.

Anyway, as you can see it's the improved 2016 model with USB 3, BT 4.2, wireless AC, and a blazing fast x5-Z8300 Intel Atom processor with a whopping 2GB of DDR3L memory.

I'm just waiting for the order confirmation from the retailer before I pick it up tomorrow.

Pics of the Intel Compute Stick will follow.

Don't you just love the glossy orange and matte green combination?

Very nice! I hope you like your new 735.
Congrats! I hope you like it! I personally enjoyed the size of the 735 over the 640.
Thanks!

Yeah, it's all good. I like the size and feel of the 735 in the hand too. I *almost* want to switch the 735 with the 640 as my daily driver.

It's a dinky little thing but surprisingly capable. Interestingly, the version I got has the slightest of spec bumps with a Z8330 processor. You take any advantage you can get, right? Performance is a little slow here and there (which is to be expected), but general web browsing, YouTube, FHD & 4K Netflix, low-end gaming, email writing, and word processing goes without a hitch. That said, the Edge browser is typically temperamental so I don't think that's down to the limitation of the device. Inserting the micro SD card is a little challenging though. The slot is spring-loaded, however the card doesn't click until it's fully pushed inside the device beyond flush with the side, which is surprisingly difficult to do.

Bottom line: I like it. It won't play The Witcher 3 and Battlefield 1 at 1080/60, do serious Lightroom post-processing nor editing 4K video, but as a basic computer it shines.

BT connection is finicky with my Apple wireless keyboard and mouse, and so is the connection with my iPad via the Intel Remote Keyboard app. I have an old USB KB+M but it's not ideal. Looks like I'll have to buy that Logitech K400 Plus or the similar Microsoft AiO wireless KB.

Nice!! I wanted to try one out myself a while back, but it does look cool to mess around with.
