Yap, just downloaded Windows Essential 2012 from link below and Movie Maker works fine on my SP2017. No scams, easy download.

But the current Start menu is familiar for Windows 7 users, at least shutdown options, compared to Windows 8 which has rearranged it to Settings charm and forced corners, which is annoying.

Why Start menu? The current Start menu still good, at least it's familiar for Windows 7 users!

Ha, I recall that after Windows 8 rolled out, many of our customers asked us how to shut down or restart their computer. It was difficult to find. I heard that Microsoft purposely obscured this because they said that rebooting wouldn't be necessary, although I have no clue if that is actually true.

How would you think of hiding BASIC functions under a charm? This is a bad idea.

It wasn’t my idea to get rid of hardware buttons. You gotta hide basic things somewhere for that clean look.

Resulted in Windows 8 users had to google how to shut down. Hiding a VERY BASIC function like shutdown is a bad idea. MS putted a shutdown option in the Start screen in Windows 8.1 update 1.

Let's not forget Windows mobile 6.1 since it software. I loved how easy it was to skin it and tweak the colors. 6.5 left a meh feeling. Oh and let's not forget Windows longhorn. I know it was beta but boy was it awesome with its aero look and feel. Vista was ok but longhorn look awesome.
    Doesn't Vista have Aero?
