The mac sync client has zero options, and doesn't even have the option to run menu-bar-only. It also does not have the option to change the location of your Skydrive folder once you've set it. How very beta.

I wanted to change the folder's location to clean things up since Google Drive was announced. Here's the process:

1. Quit the Skydrive app.
2. Move your Skydrive folder to its new location
3. Navigate to Library\Application Support\Skydrive\settings
4. Find 3 *.ini files. Ignore global.ini and Clientpolicy.ini. These contain settings I didn't attempt to figure out. The third *.ini file has an alphanumeric string for a filename. I assume this is specific to your install. For me, it was the one called "e9886f8d7e021ff2.ini"
5. Open that ini file in TextEdit, and find:

Code:
library = 1 4 E9886F8D7E021FF2!139 1335288611 "SkyDrive" Me personal "/Users/xxxxx/SkyDrive"

6. Replace the path within the quotes to your SkyDrive folder's new path
7. Restart the Skydrive app, give it time to resync.

If there's an easier way to do this, I'd love to know.

The next step is to see if i can get Skydrive & Google Drive to sync the same folder for redundant backup.
