Has anyone found a way to "lock" the DV8P display while keeping the system running in the background? Specifically I'm trying to play music and have the display off and unresponsive to touch. Surface can do this, but the Dell either keeps the display on or goes into sleep mode which of course shuts down the music.
The power button settings only has "Do nothing", "Sleep" or "Shut down" as choices.
The advanced power settings link sleep mode and display off settings - if you set the sleep mode to "Never", but then change the display time out to some value, the sleep mode setting changes to that value.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I just realized that Xbox Music keeps playing if I press the power button. Before I was using WMPlayer, which doesn't. Oh well, I guess XBM will have to do, although the lack of gapless playback kills me. If anyone finds a way to keep desktop apps running in the background, please share. Thanks!
