been spending a weekend here in singapore.. when I notice while reading
the saturday Straits Times, I didn't see a single WP phone ads. nada..

There are several advertising pages of androids.. couple full pages ads of
Nokia N9 meegos... Several pages of local telco promoting new high end droids...
but not a single WP7 device.

I read somewhere before that HTC was having a good sales of WP phone,
here in singapore.. but they're nowhere to be seen on last saturdays paper..

    makes me wonder....

    Try here in the Philippines.

NO ONE KNOWS OF WINDOWS PHONE. SRSLY. The only reason I knew of this was through local tech blogs and Youtube.

Everytime I go to a cellphone store and I ask for any Windows Phone, they say, "Windows 7, sir?"

They refer to "Windows Phone 7" as "Windows 7", the Computer OS.

Everytime that happens, I'm like "WTH? D:"

That is how bad the presence of WP7 is here in the Philippines... (At least in America, SOME carriers are promoting WP. Here, only our biggest carrier has a WP (HTC Mozart), but even so, their stores have not one poster of it, more so a live model, even a dummy phone...!)

Sure, Microsoft will start a launch party for a new WP here sometime, but who comes to those events?

From a country where 3-year olds can play with iTablets and there is at least 2 Starbucks Coffee's and Krispy Kreme's in every mall...

Well maybe they are not yet advertiding in Singapore yet but they are rolling ads out elsewhere.

In Singapore, HTC claimed that 30% of its sales came from Windows Phone. Perhaps they are gearing up for a Mango push.
