- My wife and I need to switch from T-Mobile because we are moving and have terrible service at our new house, and we don't have a home phone. I am either going to go to AT&T or Verizon. My problem is that I feel that all the Windows Phones available aren't the best that are coming. I know Nokia specifically mentioned LTE in conjunction with their US launch. My big thing is that if I am going to lock into a phone for 2 years, I really want LTE. I know I don't need it now, my city isn't even a 4G market at this point. But in 12 months, I probably will want LTE if I don't already have it. Should I try and pick up some cheap Windows Phones on craigslist to get by until Nokia makes their plans for US more evident or just get a Focus S?11-04-2011 02:23 AMLike 0
- I am with you on this. I'm probably picking up the Focus S even though my Focus does very well now; I'm just very impatient. But I'm in a good situation because my dad has a business contract with A&T (with about 30 phones) so there's an upgrade available every month or so. If you don't care about a FFC I would recommend getting something off Craigslist. You should be able to get a Focus for pretty cheap.11-04-2011 03:12 PMLike 0
- What do you need LTE for? My DVP at current 3G speeds can stream anything and as we know browsing with IE9 is fast already. I think the new at&t WP7 devices at HSPA+ 14.4mbps would be just fine and add in the faster processor, NAND memory and GPU I dont see why anyone would be so concerned about LTE now. More important is what the coverage is like, no point having an LTE device if you cant make a connection.11-04-2011 04:06 PMLike 0
- They're selling Samsung Focuses (Focii?) on ebay for sub $200. Would definitely look that way and then upgrade later11-04-2011 04:09 PMLike 0
