Is there a trick getting Zune to recognize the phone?

I've had my Titan now for around 2 weeks now. I was able to sync it w/ Zune only after I powered off and on again. I then sync'd my wife's new Focus S. It recognized it as a different phone so I was able to name it accordingly. Now when I went to sync my Titan into the USB port w/ the data cable that came w/ the phone I get the window's "beep" if you will that tells me something is connected, but Zune doesn't recognize that a phone is attached. I've tried powering off the phone but nothing worked. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong or not doing? With my iphone all I would do is plug the phone in and itunes would instantly recognize it and I wouldn't have to "power off" ever.

I had problems too. I think I connected Titan first and then opened Zune.

Sounds like something funky going on with the Zune software. Maybe uninstall and reinstall it?

Also, try plugging the USB cable into a different port and see if that fixes it (it will reinstall the drivers sorta).
