WP7 maps different to Bing Maps?

Just had a look at the maps on WP7 (on my shiny new Lumia 800 ), and it appears the maps app has recently been updated and is showing some work that was carried out here at work about 2-3 months ago (easily noticeable on the app).

I then had a look (for a bigger picture) on the maps.bing.com site and have found the map/images are at least 2 years older of the same area.

Would of thought the app and the maps site use the same back-end?

Maybe you need to force refresh the maps on your desktop? Maybe your browser has it cached.

Try CTRL+F5 (if on a Windows System).

I noticed the same thing. Maps on my phone are newer then maps on Bing on my laptop.

Thought this might be the case, but it didn't make a difference. Also tried on about 3 - 4 different computers, and still got the same.
