Hey folks. I'm up bright and early and I've been waiting for this day for a while. HTC will finally show what they are bringing to the table with the WP8. I hope their showing is not a fail like Samsung and I hope maybe it could be something like the Nokia showing, except with more details on pricing and availability on what carriers and if there are video/photo samples....please let them be legit ;).

I'm already dead set on buying what ever flagship phone HTC or Nokia has. I'm hoping HTC will follow through and give us a buffed or altered One X experience. I don't care about quad cores either. Just dual core goodness with good photography and video with a few little perks and what not.

I just hope they really pull all the stops out on this one. They've been showing the Accord, with if I recall, it's more of a mid range phone. What about their top dog? We'll see.

I think they said it would be around 10. Or at least doors open at 10 and the event starts at 11. No live stream though as far as I know.

Oh and sorry for the HTC disrespect in the title. I didn't CAPITALIZE HTC. lol.

Thanks for the link!!!! This will be nice to have!!!! Overall I am just happy for WP8 and the excitement that is simmering around their devices. I hope the subtle hints that HTC threw out there were all for nothing special.

I swore it was today wasn't it? If it is tomorrow...oh well. Get the party started early. But of course there isn't much of a party since most people are all in on Nokia.

I was a bit discouraged by Jay's post yesterday where he said:

"My concern is that there does not appear to be a top end, no compromise device from HTC this generation, something which the competition has produced."

Jay has seen the new HTC phone(s). Maybe they'll be cool but not flagship-level. We'll see.

I'm really excited to see what HTC will bring forth! While I find the Nokia extremely attractive for design and feature/app support I must say I have always been a fan of HTC's hardware in general such as the notification light. (Never been a big fan of Samsung).

Hope they pull out the stops and convince me to choose them. Regardless here's to strong competition to strengthen the Windows Phone ecosystem no matter which I end up choosing!

    Happy HTC Day guys!

I don't think anyone will have a streaming video of the event.

Engadget has Tim Stevens and Terrence O'Brien doing the live blog again so avoid them if you don't want to read childish comments by them.

8X and 8S look good so far. Would love to see the specs and if the camera is comparable to the Titan 2.

I think these are some of HTC's best designs yet. I like the look of the 8S more than the 8X, too bad the 8S doesn't offer much beyond the colored bottom. From Engadget.

A paltry 4GB of storage is baked in, but thankfully HTC saw fit to include a microSD slot for expansion. Those rather modest internals should help the handset make the most of the 1,700 mAh battery at least. Sadly, the Taiwanese manufacturer decided to skip a front-facing cam on its entry level device and the sensor around back is only 5MP and limited to 720p video capture. At 10.28mm thick the 8S isn't the sleekest handset, but the tapered edges make look quite a bit thinner than that measurement would indicate. There's no denying the appeal of the two-tone polycarbonate bodies, regardless of comparative girth, which feature soft touch finishes in veritable rainbow of options. Pricing has yet to be announced, but you can expect the 8S to hit shelves in early November on a number of carriers. Full PR awaits after the break.

I'm guessing the 8S is more along the lines of the Radar.

Really digging the 8X so far - the best part is 3 potential top of the line devices for WP8.

edit: 8X coming to AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile in November!

This just in from 2014. Apple has announced that the iPhone 6 (the 8th iPhone!) will be available in an innovative array of colors (to keep up with the changing times). The best iPhone since iPhone!

Love the designs HTC! This will be a hard choice between HTC and Nokia for me.

Oh man...it'll be hard picking between the 8X and 920. Since I'm buying international unlocked it will probably come down to pricing.
