I just received a notification for a training called "A Look Into Windows 8"

The overview says it will provide hands-on time and demonstrations of both Windows 8 tablets and Windows Phone 8

I wonder if we'll carry any of the windows 8 tablets?

Maybe the Surface will be affordable? I've heard that the RT version will be priced around $400-$500. I'm definitely getting one if it's around that price.

That's expensive for an RT version considering the Pro version is likely to be priced to compete with iPad. If pro is 800-1000 on the top end (64gig devices), then RT for 64 gig should be 400-600. Drop 100 bucks for 32 gigs. Drop another 50 for the 16gigs.

I want to see an RT surface tablet around 300 bucks. The only way this wouldn't make sense is if the Pro surface is much higher than 800-1000.

300 bucks is pretty low considering the base RT model will be 32 GB, the 32 gb wifi only iPad is 600, I don't see how they would try to undercut with 50% difference. Don't get me wrong I'd snatch a up a 300 surface without thinking twice, I just don't see them going that low with new hardware.

I think the RT is poised to go head to head with the iPad. The Surface Pro will stand on its own.

The integrated cover/keyboard for the RT is a freaking genius move btw.

I think the expectation will be that the Surface pro will be priced more in line with $700-$800 I have heard that number ($800) thrown around a lot with regards to the Surface Pro and I think MS has officially said the WinRT version would be competitive to the iPad.
