Lucky! I get out of class half an hour after the event starts... and then the drive home takes an hour. I might have to bring my laptop and watch the excitement unfold from my car in the parking lot (sounds geeky). Fingers crossed that Microsoft doesn't start EXACTLY on time ;)

Well to my luck, I have a graphic design class from 11:30 to 1:00PM. I'll stay a little late after the class starts and watch the conference in their huge MAC's and go to my next class after that. The second class is from 1:30 to 4:30 so I don't care about getting in their 1hour and a half late, I'm watching this conference.

I'm super excited. I'll be home streaming the presentation to my HDTV. I'm assuming it will be streamed, as other MS events have been.

If Microsoft doesn't have anything to show then why even make an event at the first place? and all this secrecy man. Mmm.

Well, WP8 hasn't had a formal presentation to the public. Only that thing in July but it was just a few things and then they moved to other topics (I think it was a developer conference). So Monday will be the "unveiling." I expect MS will go in detail over all of the main and new features of WP8. Will we see stuff that hasn't been leaked? I don't know, but it'll be fun to watch.

Mondays are brutal for me. I have classes from 8 to 4:30 then work from 5-9. I get to my house as a broken man. I'm just going to say it right now, I'm sorry if I'll be a little cranky this monday. If Microsoft screws in some way I'll give it an even worse time than usual.

Troll power full on?

I can't wait. Both for the news from MS and your likely trolling. XD

I have a feeling they might give enough reasons for Winterfang to go ballastic on the boards, but I am more excited about the launch and hopefully some nice surprises during the launch.

They've had better speakers and engaging launch for Windows 8 and Surface. Hopefully Joe isn't the only dude who will do it for Windows Phone. They seriously someone who can talk to non-users about this product and sell it straight away!

well I hope it's an enjoyable conference with some good news. I'm also almost getting and WP8S, so unless the phone turn out to be worse than it is, ( no front facing camera...) then I'll be alright.

Why don't you want the one with front facing camera? Only monetary issue?

The closer we get the less sure of the color I want. I thought I wanted cyan but lately the red has been appealing. Kinda sucks if indeed cyan's only available online, won't be able to compare. But like most things, I'm probably over thinking haha.

I think red is an excellent choice but I have a feeling only Yellow lumia and blue 8x will be dominating everywhere for the first assault and then they will have a few more colours here and there in some states/countries.

I am hoping they will have excellent availability really!

Monday is a perfect day for me... I work 4pm - 2am and the casino has no poker, blackjack or any table games so it's like a ghost town.

Why spend money on something you don't need?

I thought after FaceTime, most people started using video calling a lot. I never used it till Lumia 800 because I never thought I needed it. But since I had it on my Titan, I've got used to Skyping my gf or my parents, it's just fun but at the same time boring too.

I've said this before, but unfortunately they've taken too long to release Apollo, and the video leaks have shown everything off. I was excited when they showed Apollo at the developer conference, but that was like 4 months ago. Now that we basically know everything coming in WP8, I'm already waiting for the next version for them to include bug fixes and features (basic things) that other mobile OSes have. For example, VPN support, a forward button in the browser, an improved speech system that can actually dictate what I say (instead of always getting it wrong), natural language support, keyboard accuracy improvements (back to pre-Mango days of accuracy), and the list goes on and on. Don't get me wrong: the improvements we know about are welcomed, needed, and exciting that we finally get them (especially Native Code support), but the things coming are already on other platforms while leaving out some basic things I mentioned above.

Honestly, if they released 7.8 with the things mentioned above, I wouldn't have even anticipated WP8 like I had been. A lot of things missing FOR ME could easily be addressed with the CE kernel still (perhaps not natural language support), so it's a double edged sword for me. Another thing that doesn't impress me (again, I've complained on here before about this) is us getting only the S4 processor. I know Windows Phone runs fine on single core, but some apps that can come thanks to Native Code support (games in particular) run terrible on the S4. Now, of course this could be because games that I've played with the S4 (on Android of course) weren't optimized for this SOC, but numbers are numbers (regardless of optimization) and the Adreno 225 GPU in that thing sucks. I've always hated Qualcomm and their GPUs because they always sucked, and I hate we are following the same Windows Phone 7 trend of getting year-old SOCs because they're cheaper to manufacturer and Microsoft having to accept that OEMs don't care enough about Windows Ohone to go on the edge to get leading specs for once...

Anyways, a lot of my complaints are things based on MY NEEDS, but regardless, they've waited too long (along with foolishly holding back the SDK from eager developers that will now say screw Microsoft), and I just feel I've already seen everything they've got to show off...
