I am having trouble sending videos over 35 seconds. Is this the cap or is there something I can do? If the video is over 35 seconds I get an error "Can't attach video".

If you're trying to send it via MMS, there's a cap on MMS size imposed by the carrier.

But I was able to send a 2+ minute video from my iPhone the same day I got this phone? Any ideas why?

Because you were sending it via iMessage, not via MMS.

This was not sent via iMessage, it was to an android based phone. Is there a way to compress the video's to send it? 30 seconds is just so short.
