So yesterday I received my first smartphone--a Lumia 920. I'm on an AT&T data/minutes plan that allows me to use 5 GB of data (including five-person hot spot capability) and 450 anytime voice minutes.

Is there someplace on the phone that will tell me how much of my data and how many of my minutes I've used this month? Or will I need to access some AT&T site via the interwebs to find this out? Never having had a smartphone, I'd like to be sure that my usage isn't sucking down the data so quickly that I'll end up with overage fees.

Once we get DataSense, it will be very easy, as of now you can do this:

Receive a text message with an estimate of your usage

To receive a text message with an estimate of your data usage since your last bill, dial *3282# (*DATA#) from your wireless device.

To receive a text message with an estimate of your voice minutes used since your last bill, dial *646# (*MIN#) for English.

You could also download the myAT&T App from the marketplace.

I think the data will always have a little delay on being accurate.

If you got the phone from AT&T the app described above should already be on the phone.
