Hi,
Wondering if anyone else has the same issue as me...
I've got several playlists on my Win8 PC (with Xbox music pass) and they sync perfectly between my two Win8 machines. They also show correctly on the Xbox. All songs in the play list are available to stream or download yet when they "sync" to the phone a bunch of songs are missing.

i.e one playlist thats got 24 songs in on the PC has 20 on the phone. Another has 400 on the pc and 130 on the phone.

Anyone else see this? If I remove the songs manually from the playlist and re-add them then they show up on the phone but that's not exactly perfect...

(also WTF, you can't download songs playlist at a time?!)

What you can do is download the Windows Phone Desktop App. That will allow you to sync playlists to your phone. This happened to me. They install the Metro app automatically in a Win8 machine but don't say anything about the desktop app. The desktop app allows you to sync your playlists from Win7&8.

Only playlists that exist in the PC. My playlists are all "cloud" playlist having come from Zune...

Did anyone resolve this issue? I noticed this issue a while back as well and decided to contact Microsoft about it today. They have confirmed it's a "Strange" issue and have escalated it. Wonder if it's a region thing. Curious if someone else can try my example below and see if they have the same issue.

You are now chatting with 'Katherine B.'.

Katherine
B.:
Hello, my name is Katherine B. with Microsoft Support.
Please give me a few moments as I review the information you've
submitted.

Katherine
B.:
From what I understand playlists you have created on the Xbox 360
aren't syncing to your Phone, correct?

Me: Correct. They sync
to my Win 8 pc just fine, and they do partially sync to my phone it seems.

Katherine
B.:
What's the make and model of your phone?

Me: Lumia 920

Katherine
B.:
From the sound of it, it seems your Xbox Music Cloud settings are set
correctly. With the way the Xbox 360 works in the system, it might be some
issue with the phone detecting it correctly. The Xbox Music Cloud is still in
development. So let's try a couple things and see if that helps.

Katherine
B.:
First, let's clear the history on the phone.

Katherine
B.:
Open Internet Explorer, tap "...", then settings. You'll see
the option to clear the history there. Go to Advanced and make sure cookies are
set to accept all. Turn off both data and wifi (you can do that by turning on
airplane mode). After that, power down the phone, wait about 30 seconds, then
power it back on. Turn the data and wifi back on.

Me: Phone is powering
down now.

Katherine
B.:
Awesome.

Me: Phone is back on.

Katherine
B.:
Great. Go to Settings > Email+Accounts. Tap and hold on Microsoft
Account until you see sync, then tap on sync.

Me: done.

Katherine
B.:
Go ahead and check your playlists now to see if there's any change.

Me: No Change. Still
only 8 songs in each playlist showing up. One should have 36 and the other
should have 18.

Katherine
B.:
Go to Settings > About > More info. What is the OS version of
your phone?

Me: 8.0.10211.204

Katherine
B.:
Okay, go to Settings > Phone update. Go ahead and check for any
recent updates.

Me: no updates

Katherine
B.:
Okay, let's try doing some tests. Do you have access to both your Xbox
and Windows 8 PC right now?

Me: yes

Katherine
B.:
Alright. Let's create a new test playlist on the Xbox. Pick about 5
songs and tell me what songs they are. After that, we'll go check how to they
show up on both the phone and PC and which songs don't show up.

Me: ok. hold on.

Katherine
B.:
Awesome.

Katherine
B.:
How's that going?

Me: Created a playlist
on the xbox called "xbox." Added 5 songs from "top Songs"
on the xbox music home page. 1) Love the way you lie - Eminem, 2) Some Nights -
Fun. 3) Bleed it out - Linkin Park 4) Sail - Awolnation, 5) Radioactive -
Imagine Dragon.

Katherine
B.:
Awesome. Let's check the PC first.

Me: yup all good there.

Katherine
B.:
Okay, let's check the phone now.

Me: 3 songs out of 5

Katherine
B.:
Which ones don't show up?

Me: 1) Love the way you
lie - Eminem and 3) Bleed it out - Linkin Park

Katherine
B.:
Hmm. Alright. Are those songs on any of your other playlists?

Me: no

Katherine
B.:
Try adding one of them to another playlist on the Xbox, then check to
see if it's the same thing happening.

Katherine
B.:
How's that going?

Me: fine on pc.

Me: They did not add on
the phone however.

Katherine
B.:
The playlist names show up on the phone, correct?

Me: yes

Katherine
B.:
Okay, I think in this case something strange is going on. I would like
to escalate this so the techs can get a better look at it. What is a good email
to contact you at?

Me: he@here.net

Me: I just moved one of
the songs that did show up in the test playlist to old playlists and it was
added, so it seems to just be certain songs.

Me: 2) Some Nights -
Fun.

Katherine
B.:
I'll definitely document that. You should be contacted within the next
3-5 days. For your records, here is your Service Request (reference) number:

Katherine
B.:
Is there anything else that I can assist you with?

Me: No, that's it. Just
would like to get this fixed.

Katherine
B.:
Okay! Thank you for your information. I hope you have a good weekend
coming up.
