Certain Gmail Emails Corrupted

This might be an easy one for some - hopefully, as I can't fix it.
On my Lumia 920, replying to certain emails through my gmail account, some emails get corrupted. They get expanded to a size that is 20-fold the original size, mainly by random (?) special and control characters getting inserted. Here is an example of how a regular text line looks like after sending:

=?utf-8?Q?Silk-H=C3=BClle_CC-1043_f=C3=BCr_Lumia_920_grau_-_Blister?=
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
boundary="----=_NextPart_000_0126_01CE293F.ABFF8050"

I think that mainly happens when replying to e.g. emails that were sent through ebay or similar sites. The emails turn into something that is completely unreadable for the receiver.
Does anyone know how to fix this? WP8 does not allow for lots of email formatting, as far as I know.

This really sucks. They even dare to suggest - "use IMAP"

I have the same issue. I have found too that it only happens when replying to emails back and forth. My sisters and I get involved in long email threads and my replies always look like garbage. The only thing I window to do is start a fresh email!
This is an example of what it looks like, my sister copied it to me (and from what I see on my end, the emails look fine!):
