Windows Phone Desktop App Crashes Upon Launch?

I am running Windows 7 64 bit, I installed the desktop app, it installs fine then asks me to connect my phone (Lumia 620) I connect it and then the app crashes and thats as far as I get, it gives the following info.

I have uninstalled, rebooted, installed, repaired .net 4.5, but no good. I have noticed when it searches for drivers it finds 2 drivers but can't find 2 drivers for Nokia Lumia 620 so even when the phone is connected I can see the contents of the phone in windows explorer but not the SD card.

Anyone any ideas?

Same problem here. Why is this kind of errors still appearing on my windows screen!? Its 2013, not 1990:angry:

Hey guys, what you will need to do is to access your phone via Windows explorer (iTunes and WP app closed) and erase your collection manually off your phone. Then you'll have to do that sync that you did the very first time to get all your content back and you should be good.

This is a massive bug from MSFT, and it has been around for over a month now, and I am shocked that they are neither willing to acknowledge or do anything about it.
