I have an HTC 8x and have noticed the last couple of weeks that when I am talking with someone and click the end call button, it can take up to 20 seconds before the phone finally ends the call. Prior to the last couple of weeks my calls were always ended right after clicking the button, but now it is sporadic. The phone sometimes ends the call right away, but usually it takes anywhere from 3-5 seconds and has taken as long as 20 seconds. Is anyone else having this happen?

I get that sometimes too, but I know the phone hangs sometimes when trying to hang up if I was,

charging the phone
Downloading something
Or the phone doing its necessary GPS, 30min live tile updates sometimes

Yesterday, I had it happen several times in a row and was not charging the phone, downloading anything, or using GPS. I am not sure about the Live tile updates, but the weird thing is, I did not notice any problems for close to a month. However, the last couple of weeks it has started happening on at least 90 percent of my phone calls and it is getting really annoying. Especially when I want to hang up before leaving a message, but if it takes up to 20 seconds to hang up then I will be leaving a blank message.

I was having the same problem. I got a refurb for a different reason and it was not occurring with the new one. It seems to build up over time for some reason...

I have the same issue. I had had the phone for a couple of months without experiencing this issue, and I have had this for several weeks now. Just got the SIM card detection firmware update but this doesn't seem to have resolved the issue. If a soft reset is just turning the phone off and on then I have done this many times.
