This is my first post here but let me get right into it.
I am the proud owner of a new Lumia 920, and was sad when my old Samsung Focus(1) had to go into storage/backup.
I recently found a job that my old windows phone could do and save me potentially a couple hundred dollars.
It now sits on the dash of my car, as a dashboard camera.
It does everything an expensive dash cam will do but in a convenient phone-sized package.
Below are some photos(yes that is pink but it's an awesome pink) of my device to hold such phone.
Since the phone has been wiped clean and is useless as a phone(broken vibe, proximate sensor, and weird home button issue) I found this to be
    a great fit.
It has an sd in it which adds another 8Gb making it around 16Gb.
let me know what you think, or if you have any other uses for your old cell/smart phone.
The video is me headed from the post office. It shakes a little because I was in a 2012 f250. Its rough on everything.

    Update!!!

My home-made mount has had issues being used in multiple vehicles.
I found a suction mounted device at AutoZone for $5.

Now I have no issues with switching vehicles!

Sweet, I used to use my old Nokia 5800 as a GPS when I switched to WP7 (early adopter, Nokia Drive came waaaaay later) and am currently thinking how to use my old Trophy after I switch to WP8

Smart crafty move; I'll have to consider this when and if I ever re-purpose my Focus. For now, I am still enjoying it's original purpose. In fact, I have recently set up my third Focus: still can't improve on the replaceable battery-Super AMOLED- and 32GB card-install, plus compactness combination, that works flawlessly. You'll appreciate the replaceable battery on a heavy video day. That video appears pretty steady to me. In fact, Ford would be impressed. Thanks for sharing this.
