In todays investor call Peter Klein, CFO had this to say about Windows Blue
Looking ahead, we will release the next version of Windows, codenamed Windows
Blue, which further advances the vision of Windows 8 as well as responds to
customer feedback.

So does that now confirm that Blue is more like Windows 9 or do you think Blue is Windows 8.1? Thoughts.

If history repeats itself, this will be a free upgrade. It's too early for Windows 9 even early betas, so this would be Windows 81./8.5 I would bet. This is at the point where Microsoft takes feedback and updates it's OS to make customers happy. Personally I think this will be released as a service pack.

With that being said, I have been thinking about trying a leaked version of "blue" on my tablet just to really see what it offers. I am still on the fence with Windows 8, it's great on a tablet but, it sucks with a keyboard and mouse...
