Do you ever click on ads in games/apps?

I was just curious. I don't think I've ever, purposely, clicked an ad within a game or app. If this is the case, and many other users are similar to me, how much could a developer possibly make from the advertisements?

I don't know the way they work or how they are paid so I am actually curious if they get paid per click, per purchase through the advertisement, etc.

Never have and never would. Same as the ads on web pages. Ads at the top of searches too, I avoid them.

They can't generate massive amounts surely? But some must click on them.

Developers do not necessarily have to get paid for ad clicks. Ad impressions i.e. ads that are displayed throughout the app, webpage, etc. are enough for any developer to make money without the user having to actually click the ad. So the developer is still getting paid whether you click the ad or not.

Same here. The last thing I want to see in an application is a flashing ad.

I willingly pay for an ad blocker. Shame i cant get such a thing on wp. I'd much rather pay than see ads.
