Bluetooth problems or speaker problems?

I be playing music through my Bluetooth speaker, but everytime I do, the first song always stops in the middle for no apparent reason. It isn't paused, though. Either the speaker stopped working (it indicates it's on) or the Bluetooth on my 8X has failed (that too indicates connection to voice and music), so idk why the music would just stop playing.

Do you have another Bluetooth device you can test with? I have had similar issues in some of the cars I have driven. The Buick Lacrosse I was driving a few months ago was unusable with Bluetooth.
