App updates?

New to WP. I noticed that the official Facebook app was updated yesterday. My version is still 1.0, and I see no "pending" updates on the Store tile. Why?
Same with the new WPCentral app. moving to v.4.0

its a bug in the OS I think it might be fixed in the update for June, but for now you have to manually look up the apps in the store and update it sorry

thanks. surprising, to say the least. seems like a very basic part of a mobile OS.

You go to a forum (like the Lumia 920 forums) and you should see this post new thread thing.

If you use the app, tthere's this + at the bottom.

thanks. surprising, to say the least. seems like a very basic part of a mobile OS.

One thing to try is to leave your phone on with WIFI for several days, this sometimes fixes this problem. Another is trying a phone reset but this could potentially brick your phone like happened to me and I had to send it in to get fixed. Mind you the update function works great now.
